Week 3: Groups
September 21
Read/watch:
Please do some preliminary research (~an hour) on a collective, group space, or group art show from New York in the 1970s and 1980s and prepare a short 5-minute presentation for the class. This can be informal. Give us a little background on what you selected and have us look at one image or object together. See what kinds of primary sources or archival materials you can find. Email me with the name of the group/space you selected, one primary source material (an image, a flyer, a video, a zine, etc.), and any slides you want to use in class. Please send these by Tuesday at 10am.
